Mr. Jeffrey Mills
I have read with interest your proposal on the documentary film On the Wings of Giants about the history of Pan American World Airways.
As you know, my husband Charles Blair was a senior pilot for Pan Am as well as a decorated naval and air force aviator, all part of a long list of achievements in a lifetime of devotion to aviation. After retiring from Pan Am, he founded Antilles Air Boat, Inc., a seaplane company that provided service in the Caribbean from the Virgin Islands. I was also involved early on with its operation, and upon Charlie's deatch, succeeded him as president of the company.
The importance of aviation to America was brought home to me by my husband and my days at Antilles Air Boats, and I hope that this documenetary will help keep alive the appreciation for the wonders and benefits of this grand industry.
As to your request for a film interview about my personal impressions on aviation and Pan Am, I would be glad to participate.
|Best Wishes ,|
Mrs. Maureen O'Hara Blair
